Mobile Virtual Production Tracking

An Android camera tracking prototype that turns ARCore pose data into calibrated FreeD packets for a disguise media server.
Context
Virtual production tracking is often tied to specialist hardware. This study asked how far a standard Android phone could go as a portable camera input for rapid tests.
Build
The app reads position and orientation through ARCore, applies an on device zero calibration, encodes the result as FreeD and sends the position to disguise. A compact interface exposes connection, pose and debug state without covering the camera session.
Outcome
The prototype provides a lightweight tracking path for previs and small scale experiments, keeping the phone, disguise camera and physical viewpoint visibly connected.
